All About Our Project! (And Us!)

For our third ESLP, we decided to paint a sign for our school's garden. The garden we're painting a sign for, the Hummingbird Garden, is right in front of the MLC building.

Our two previous projects were successes. For our first project, we decided to build a bench. For our second project, we painted a four-part mural. We both decided to do another creative project - paint and establish a sign! Due to our last few projects, we've had practice with woodworking and painting.

Here's a little introduction to us, Leah and Sydney:

Leah Chiponis, 9th Grade
My name is Leah Chiponis, and I was born in San Jose, California. I have lived in San Jose my whole life, and I have a bit of experience with woodworking and painting from my past two ESLP's. Both were very enjoyable, and I'm sure that this project will be just as fun. As life goes on, I am looking forward to having more experience and creating new things.

Sydney Stitt, 9th Grade
My name is Sydney Stitt, and I'm originally from Hunan, China. I moved to San Jose, California when I was 16 months old. I've always loved painting and design, though I will admit I don't have that much experience (besides my past two projects) with woodworking. I'm excited to begin this project, as the past two have taught me so much about design and woodworking.
